Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with AI systems to develop hybrid quantum-classical models
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits using superconducting qubits
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum computing interns
- Secure research grants through federal and private partnerships
- Contribute to open-source quantum computing frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Ability to secure federal research funding (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
