Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 2026 scalability milestones
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with AI teams to create quantum machine learning frameworks
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA/NSF/DoD programs
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry R&D experience
- Published peer-reviewed research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum circuit simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Strong background in superconducting qubit fabrication and control systems
- Experience securing government research grants and managing multi-million dollar budgets
- Exceptional problem-solving skills in complex quantum mechanical systems
- Validated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
