Responsibilities
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum algorithms and error correction protocols
- Design and execute large-scale quantum simulations for pharmaceutical and materials science applications
- Develop novel quantum machine learning frameworks for autonomous systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at global conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants for 2026-2027 initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum computing
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Track record of securing research funding ($1M+ preferred)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
