Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum processors with 100+ qubit coherence
- Author groundbreaking research published in Nature/Science journals and presented at QIP conferences
- Develop error-correction protocols achieving 99.9% fidelity in quantum gate operations
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid computing architectures
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish industry partnerships with quantum startups
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with 3+ years industry research
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq) and classical HPC frameworks
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (Rigetti, IBM, IonQ) and quantum cloud services
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and information theory
- Proven ability to secure $500K+ in quantum research grants
