Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional projects with hardware engineers and software developers
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure and manage $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD researchers and interns in quantum computing principles
- Present findings at global conferences including IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation techniques
- Experience with high-performance computing environments (HPC, cloud)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
- Strong track record of interdisciplinary collaboration
