Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex computational challenges
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubits and ion traps
- Develop error-correction protocols to advance quantum coherence stability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure federal grants and partnerships with national laboratories
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design and complexity theory
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ)
