Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error correction models for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware team on qubit coherence enhancement
- Validate quantum simulations using IBM Quantum Experience and Rigetti
- Author research papers for top-tier journals (Nature, Science)
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NIST grant funding
- Mentor 3+ junior researchers in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in high-performance computing (HPC) environments
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware (D-Wave, Rigetti)
