Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Conduct experimental research on quantum hardware systems including superconducting qubits and photonic processors
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists to prototype quantum solutions
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Develop error-correction techniques to advance quantum decoherence mitigation
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies and architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing research
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware and experimental setups
