Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems with 2026 deployment targets
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $2M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Architect error-corrected quantum systems with fault-tolerance milestones
- Develop quantum machine learning models for predictive analytics
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks (Quil, OpenFermion)
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfacing
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy milestones and 2026 roadmap
