Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with optimized gate sets
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at major quantum conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion platforms
