Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 100+ qubit systems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware team to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at top-tier conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants totaling $5M+
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubits
- Expertise in quantum algorithm development (QAOA, VQE, Grover's variants)
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience securing government research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
