Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubits
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize classical-quantum machine learning models
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithm optimization
- Proficiency in low-level quantum hardware control systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex systems analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and parallel processing
