Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical 2026-era applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 50+ qubit systems
- Develop error correction protocols achieving >99.9% fidelity in quantum circuits
- Collaborate with AI teams to create hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals with 5+ annual publications
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD researchers and lead cross-functional quantum-AI integration projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry R&D
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Science/Nature/Physical Review X)
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and error correction techniques
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with NISQ-era hardware constraints and mitigation strategies
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Proven track record of translating theoretical concepts to real-world prototypes
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government project access
