Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-AI architectures
- Secure $5M+ in research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published 5+ papers in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and GPU acceleration
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
- Expertise in at least one classical ML framework (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or variational algorithms
