Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate qubit decoherence and error correction
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for practical applications
- Publish research in leading journals and present at IEEE/ACM conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra and probability theory
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government projects
