Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead experiments with superconducting quantum processors and photonic systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit coherence and error correction
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop patentable IP for quantum machine learning frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Partner with NASA and MIT on quantum-secure space communication projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum annealing or gate-based systems
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, topological)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware maintenance protocols
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
