Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Secure $2M+ in research grants through compelling proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development or quantum computing research
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published record in Nature/Science or top-tier conference proceedings
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government collaborations
