Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography, drug discovery, and climate modeling
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop error-corrected quantum processors operating at room temperature
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present findings at global quantum summits
- Collaborate with AI specialists to create hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory and experimental physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computational Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubits, ion traps, or topological quantum systems
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Ability to secure federal research funding and manage multi-million dollar budgets
