Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance, logistics, and materials science
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to prototype quantum solutions for 2026-era applications
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptography frameworks for next-gen security systems
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum computing education initiatives
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years quantum research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Published record in quantum algorithm development or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error mitigation and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Experience with machine learning integration for quantum systems
- Track record of securing federal research grants (DARPA/NSF preferred)
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to non-technical stakeholders
