Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error mitigation techniques to enhance quantum processor stability
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum circuits for practical scalability
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Lead quantum security initiatives for critical infrastructure protection
- Mentor junior researchers and build open-source quantum computing frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum information theory or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Experience with quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and computational complexity theory
- Track record of securing $500k+ in quantum computing research grants
