Responsibilities
- Design and develop quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on advanced hardware platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into real-world systems
- Publish research in leading peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor junior researchers and interns in quantum computing principles
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and industry standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel programming
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants and funding
