Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography challenges
- Develop error-correction protocols to advance quantum decoherence mitigation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations and connectivity
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Physical Review X)
- Secure $5M+ in quantum computing grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or variational algorithms
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum simulation techniques
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with HPC optimization skills
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware interfaces
