Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize quantum circuit performance on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Lead research initiatives addressing quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing challenges
- Develop quantum software tools and SDKs for enterprise adoption
- Mentor junior researchers and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
- Secure research grants and partnerships with government agencies (DARPA, NSF) and Fortune 500 companies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity analysis
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for high-performance quantum simulations
- Strong track record of securing research funding or patents
- Experience with cloud quantum computing services (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
