Responsibilities
- Lead research and development of novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors with 100+ qubit stability
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Secure $2M+ in research funding through government and private partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and establish industry standards for quantum security protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing or related fields
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation and topological quantum computing
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum control hardware interfaces
- Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated cross-disciplinary project leadership
