Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for optimization problems in logistics and finance
- Design and execute quantum circuit simulations using Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Collaborate with AI specialists to develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum engineering interns
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptography protocols for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubits
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming languages (QASM, Quipper)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
