Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, machine learning, and simulation
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum error correction protocols
- Prototype and validate quantum hardware interfaces using cryogenic systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $1M+ in government and industry grants for advanced projects
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
- Collaborate with Intel, IBM, and D-Wave on quantum ecosystem development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum programming frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and statistical mechanics
- Experience securing NSF or DOE research grants
