Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals/conferences
- Collaborate with engineering teams on quantum error correction
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF/DoE
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Published record in quantum information science
- Experience with superconducting or photonic qubit systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Clearance for DoE-funded projects (or ability to obtain)
