Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to advance quantum coherence beyond 10,000 qubits
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at global conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure research funding through federal grants and private partnerships
- Drive commercialization of quantum technologies through industry collaborations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction, fault tolerance, and topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Track record of publications in Nature/Science journals or equivalent venues
- Demonstrated ability to secure $500K+ in research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and computational complexity
