Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for next-gen security frameworks
- Publish high-impact research in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF and DOE grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum information theory
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction methodologies
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into scalable engineering solutions
