Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical quantum circuits
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum applications for finance, healthcare, and AI
- Author high-impact research papers and present findings at premier conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates and interns in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, trapped ions, photonic)
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for NP-hard computational challenges
