Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum processors using topological qubits
- Create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise-scale solutions
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in prototype development
- Secure patents for quantum encryption and communication breakthroughs
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum circuit design
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# programming frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or IEEE journals on quantum computing
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Ability to secure SBIR/STTR grants for quantum research initiatives
