Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm design and optimization for 2026-era applications
- Direct a multidisciplinary team of 5+ quantum researchers and engineers
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with MIT/Stanford on quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF research grants
- Translate quantum prototypes into commercial IP portfolios
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and similar forums
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years experience with quantum gate-level programming
- Published work in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms
- Expertise in superconducting qubit systems or ion traps
- Proven track record of securing quantum research funding
- Proficiency in Qiskit/Cirq and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience leading cross-quantum-disciplinary teams
- Clearance for DoD quantum security protocols preferred
