Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for post-quantum cryptographic systems
- Design scalable quantum hardware architectures compatible with classical computing
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and industry whitepapers
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and cryptographers
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from government and private partners
- Collaborate with DARPA and NIST on quantum security standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in Python, C++, and quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong track record of securing government research grants
- Deep understanding of Shor's algorithm implications and countermeasures
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
