Responsibilities

- Develop error-corrected quantum computing architectures targeting 1000+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Secure federal and private funding through competitive grant proposals
- Mentor interdisciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Translate quantum prototypes into scalable industrial solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years research experience
- Published record in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quil)
- Proven experience securing $1M+ in research funding
- Strong background in superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams
