Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead error mitigation strategies for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure patents for novel quantum methodologies and systems
- Mentor PhD researchers and cross-functional technical teams
- Develop 5-year quantum roadmaps aligned with industry needs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 8+ years of experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience managing research teams and multi-million dollar budgets
- Strong background in quantum hardware limitations and optimization
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical research into practical applications
