Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm research for commercial applications in cryptography and AI optimization
- Design and implement quantum error correction systems with >99.9% fidelity
- Mentor a team of 5+ quantum physicists and software engineers
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NIH and NSF partnerships
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research experience with superconducting qubits
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE QC)
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and decoherence mitigation
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience securing federal research funding
- Strong track record of leading technical teams to deliver results
- US citizenship required for government contract work
