Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for optimization and simulation applications
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 2026 deployment
- Manage cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Secure $5M+ annual research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature and Science
- Develop intellectual property portfolio with 10+ patents annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years experience with quantum gate models and error correction
- Proven track record securing government research grants
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum journals
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers
- Clearance for DoD collaborative projects preferred
