Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing research roadmap aligned with 2026 technological milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors with >1000 qubit stability
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop commercialization strategies for quantum applications in finance and logistics
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience managing quantum hardware development teams
- Strong background in quantum machine learning algorithms
- Successful grant writing history with federal agencies
