Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in quantum circuit development
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals like Nature Quantum
- Develop quantum-resistant encryption protocols for next-gen cybersecurity
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with federal agencies on quantum communication standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological computing
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex systems
- Experience securing federal research grants
- Deep knowledge of quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
