Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and simulation applications
- Design scalable quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and top-tier conferences
- Manage cross-functional teams of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry consortiums
- Develop quantum cloud APIs for enterprise clients in finance and pharmaceuticals
- Advise C-suite on quantum strategy and competitive positioning
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm implementation on hardware
- Published 10+ peer-reviewed papers in quantum information science
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped ion systems
- Proven track record of securing federal research funding
- Strong background in complex systems optimization
