Responsibilities
- Lead research teams in developing quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization
- Design and implement error-correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate quantum systems with classical computing
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from government and private sources
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Develop roadmaps for quantum supremacy in machine learning applications
- Represent the company at international quantum computing conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DARPA)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional technical teams
- Strong patents portfolio in quantum computing (minimum 5 granted)
