Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Translate quantum advantage into enterprise-level solutions
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure federal and private research funding for quantum initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum supremacy
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Track record of leading technical projects from conception to deployment
- Experience securing research grants from DARPA, NSF, or similar bodies
