Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional research teams in developing quantum algorithms for practical 2026 applications
- Architect scalable quantum computing infrastructure capable of 10,000+ qubit operations
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford researchers on quantum error correction breakthroughs
- Present quarterly progress reports to C-suite executives and industry consortiums
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Develop patentable quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with published papers in Nature/Science
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, error correction, and hardware-software co-design
- Experience managing research teams of 10+ scientists
- Proven track record of securing government research grants
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into commercial applications
