Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era and fault-tolerant systems
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum error correction and hardware optimization
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum computing applications targeting 2026 commercial deployment
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from government and private institutions
- Pioneer hybrid quantum-classical computing architectures for enterprise solutions
- Establish industry partnerships for real-world quantum problem implementation
- Mentor next-generation quantum researchers through our fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of quantum research experience
- Published author in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Proven track record of leading quantum algorithm development for practical applications
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Experience securing DoD, NSF, or DARPA research funding
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into commercial applications
