Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Develop proprietary quantum error correction methodologies
- Translate quantum innovations into commercial IP with 10+ patent applications annually
- Partner with NASA, MIT, and IBM on quantum-adjacent projects
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and fault tolerance
- Track record of securing $1M+ in research grants
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ)
