Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm research for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theoretical models with physical quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Mentor PhD researchers and develop quantum computing curriculum for internal training programs
- Secure research partnerships with national labs and academic institutions
- Drive patent development for proprietary quantum methodologies and protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Published author in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction, variational algorithms, and quantum machine learning
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical HPC systems
- Experience leading R&D teams with demonstrable commercialization impact
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant quantum computing roadmaps
- Strong track record of securing government or corporate research funding ($1M+)
