Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography, material science, and AI optimization
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of quantum physicists and software engineers to achieve research milestones
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Partner with industry leaders to commercialize quantum breakthroughs
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Present findings at premier conferences and publish in high-impact journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years of quantum research experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum hardware
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body physics
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding exceeding $1M
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing research teams
