Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing research roadmaps targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and simulation
- Architect scalable quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with industry partners to translate theoretical advances into real-world applications
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling grant proposals
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish high-impact papers in Nature/Science journals
- Establish quantum security protocols for next-gen communication infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction (arXiv/peer-reviewed)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped-ion, photonic)
- Track record of securing $1M+ in quantum research funding
- Experience leading international research teams and academic-industry partnerships
- Strong background in quantum cryptography and post-quantum security
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
