Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical applications in cryptography and materials science
- Manage cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Secure $5M+ in federal and private research funding
- Develop patentable quantum computing methodologies with commercial viability
- Collaborate with MIT and Caltech on quantum supremacy initiatives
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Davos Technology Forum
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with peer-reviewed publications
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proven track record of securing government research grants
- Experience with IBM Quantum Experience and D-Wave systems
- Strong background in superconducting qubit technology
- Published work in Nature Physics or Physical Review X
- Clearance for federal research projects (or ability to obtain)
