Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Lead 15-person research team across quantum hardware/software domains
- Collaborate with NASA, IBM, and MIT on quantum-adjacent projects
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants and partnerships
- Develop patentable quantum solutions for healthcare and climate modeling
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with 20+ citations
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record of securing government/industry grants
- Experience leading R&D teams in high-growth tech environments
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Strong knowledge of quantum machine learning frameworks
- US citizenship required for federal project compliance
